This course is taught every even year by Georg Kirchsteiger and every odd year by Patrick Legros. It is used to teach advanced topics in microeconomics, as market design, advanced industrial organization or contract theory.
In 2011-2012, Patrick Legros will lecture on the use of contract theory in industrial organization. The course will consist of the critical review of the literature as well as the analysis of open questions. For each session, students are expected to have read the bibliography, especially the papers "starred" and are expected to ask questions. The final grade will be based on a 15 page maximum essay that you will write on one of the topics of the course.
